The William Hill (Ayr) Gold Cup Festival is Scotland's biggest and richest flat race meeting featuring the William Hill (Ayr) Bronze Cup on Thursday and the William Hill (Ayr) Gold and Silver Cups on Saturday. All three races are run over the straight 6 furlong course with 27 runners in each race.
Friday is William Hill (Ayr) Gold Cup Ladies Day which boasts the top Ladies prize in British horse racing and this year one lucky lady will drive off in a fabulous Vauxhall NEW Astra 5 door 1.4 turbo, sponsored by Kerr & Smith/Iveco Trucks. The runner up will land a fabulous Mediterranean cruise courtesy of Stewart Travel and third prize is jewellery from Alex Cairncross of Perth.
Other highlights over the Festival include the williamhill.com/bonus 25 Handicap for the Kilkerran Cup on Thursday; the Harry Roseberry Stakes on Friday and the williamhill.com Doonside Cup and the Laundry Cottage Stud Firth Of Clyde Stakes on Saturday.
Top jockeys including Kieren Fallon, Frankie Dettori, Paul Hanagan and Phillip Makin are likely to be in action and the atmosphere is electric with more than 22,000 racegoers over the three days.
And for those who like to socialise there is entertainment all three days after racing for three hours following the last race.
